0 AirAsia investment in Buleleng airport nixed

Malaysian airline AirAsia‘s proposal to finance Bali’s second international airport in Buleleng regency has been rejected. Buleleng Regent Putu Agus Suradnyana said that he chose state airport management company PT Angkasa Pura over the airline to invest in the airport. “For me nationalism is more important than money,” Suradnyana said as quoted by metrobali.com. Agus said the budget airline previously conveyed its plans to build a hangar for 50 airplanes at the airport to expand its international routes. The location for the airport has yet to be decided by the central government as the feasibility study has not been completed.
