0 Russian tourist reported missing

A Russian tourist identified as Dmitry Lazuth, 38, was reported to have gone missing while he was swimming off Pandawa Beach in South Kuta on Sunday. Ketut Ipel, a member of the Badung lifeguards, told journalists that the Russian man had been swimming in the prohibited area, identified by a red flag. The local lifeguards had already warned the Russian to stay away from the “red zone”, saying that it was a dangerous area with unpredictable, strong current and high waves. While he was swimming, a high wave caught him and washed him out to sea. Several members of the lifeguard, Bali Water Police and Search and Rescue (SAR) team immediately started looking for his body. His wife and child witnessed the distressing accident.
