0 Bali Zoo’s conservation efforts appreciated

The Forestry Ministry has applauded Bali Zoo in Singapadu, Gianyar regency for efforts taken to preserve and conserve endangered and protected animals and it’s empowerment of the local community. Bali Zoo is considered successful in conserving and preserving rare animals at the establishment.

It has also won praise for Bali Zoo Goes to School, its education program that introduced school students to the country’s vast animal species, raising awareness about the importance of protecting those animals. Emma Kristiana Chandra, Bali Zoo Public Relations Executive, said in a statement that the ministry’s appreciation encouraged Bali Zoo to further improve its programs and facilities. Bali Zoo was developed on a 9-hectare plot of land with 350 protected and rare animals. The zoo was officially opened in September 2002.
